I decided the other day that I miss being in shape. So, Saturday i began doing a couple hundred crunches a day and about 100 push ups...I went jogging today and plan to keep this up until I'm back in shape, then continue just enough to stay in shape. I've been on myspace alot lately and getting hit like mad by gay guys...it's kinda flattering, but I really am not interested in fucking that many people. I did talk to a couple of old myspace friends I had on my old account before I deleted it, as well as their photographer for XY magazine. He told me he would like to do a photo shoot with me...I'm flattered but I don't think I'm that great looking. Wouldn't that be bad ass after I get back into shape to be in XY though...(although I don't think I'm dumb enough to be a model)
On another note, I came out to my friend Sarah Walker, whom I have known since 5th grade...she didn't take it well. She gave me the..."I'm don't think that's ok, but I guess I have nothing against you"...you gues, you fucking guess?...then she popped the "Are you sure you just havn't met the right girl?"...Of course I'm sure, I wouldn't have come out if I wasn't sure...what the fuck, you don't think that I have pondered these questions a million-trillion times in my head? Anyway, that doesn't matter, I told her that if she were to ask all the gay men on earth, at least 99.9% would say they were born that way and it isn't a choice. I mean, I wouldn't choose this, I have chosen to accept it and not try to live a fake life, but I did NOT choose to be gay. I guess she can't help it being a southern, bible-thumping, baptist. Although I gave her the kanine/primate theory about both of those species and humans showing homosexual characteristics, she didn't know that. After all that I think I may have just slightly swayed her thinking...Oh well, If she can't accept it then we were never meant to be friends...
Allright, that's enough of that. later gators.

Some Quizzies
Klein Sexual Orientation Grid
I scored an average of 4.57
| 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
| Heterosexual | Bisexual | Homosexual |
Meaning
This result can also be related to the Kinsey Scale:0 = exclusively heterosexual
1 = predominantly heterosexual, incidentally homosexual
2 = predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual
3 = equally heterosexual and homosexual
4 = predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual
5 = predominantly homosexual, incidentally heterosexual
6 = exclusively homosexual
Summary
The idea of this excercise is to understand exactly how dynamic a person's sexual orientation can be, as well as how fluid it can be over a person's lifespan. While a person's number of actual homo/heterosexual encounters may be easy to categorize, their actual orientation may be completely different. Simple labels like "homosexual", "heterosexual", and "bisexual" need not be the only three options available to us.Take the quiz
I sort of agree with this one...although it is somewhat skewed cuz I am pretty damn gay, I just had alot of trouble accepting it in the past, otherwise, I'd be a 6.

Information
Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.Take the quiz

Austin in a Nutshell
I found this on myspace somewhere and thought I'd post it.
I saw these when I was surfing around - rather in depth and more than a few got me chuckling. If you live in Austin, are familiar with Austin or are just coming to visit, read close.

16 Facts About Austin:
1. First, it's pronounced AWS-TUN. It doesn't matter how they say it in other places.
2. Forget the traffic rules you learned elsewhere. Austin has its own set of traffic rules. There's no book about them. All you can do is get in your car and hope you survive to learn them.
3. All directions start with "Go down Mopac...'cause you don't want to get on I-35." No one knows for sure what 'Mopac' means.
4. Burnet Road, Braker Lane, and Lamar Blvd. have no beginning and no end.
5. It is impossible to go around a block and wind up on the same street that you started on. The Chamber of Commerce calls this a scenic drive.
6. The 8:00am rush hour is from 6:30am to 9:30am. The 5:00pm rush hour is from 3:30p to 7:15pm. Friday's rush hour starts on Thursday morning.
7. If you actually stop at a yellow light, then you cannot be from Austin. You may only apply your brakes when the end of a yellow light and the beginning of the red light create a burnt-orange hue. This is Longhorn Country, after all.
8. If you like being an individual, don't even think of working for Dell. You'll be branded like cattle and made to walk all over town with your Dell Tag around your neck or clipped on to your belt loop. Ninety-eight percent of the people within a 200 mile radius work for Dell. When someone says "Michael Dell", Dell employees are trained to face Round Rock, hit their knees, put their face to the ground, weep, and rock back and forth.
9. Just remember that Mopac IS Loop 1; Capital of Texas Hwy IS 360; and U.S.183 IS Research Blvd., Anderson Lane, Ed Bluestein Blvd. and Old Bastrop Hwy; 2222 IS Northland Dr. or Allendale Rd. or Koenig Lane. Don't try to figure it out. Just accept it. If you question the intelligence behind this naming convention, people will simply tilt their heads to the right and stare at you.
10. If moisture is determined to be rain, and not sweat, all traffic must immediately come to a screeching halt; ditto for daylight savings time, a female UT student applying eye-shadow across the street, or a flat tire three lanes over.
11. DO NOT attempt to access any road after an apocalyptic event like snow or SXSW (South by Southwest Music Convention). Construction on I-35 AND U.S. 183 is a way of life and a permanent form of entertainment. Get used to it!
12. Attn: All telephone solicitors...DO NOT correct my pronunciation when I say I live in Manchaca, TX. It's pronounced MAN-shack (just like a man living in shack). Also realize that the city of Manchaca (MANshack) is in Hays and Travis Counties, and there is also a very long street in Austin named Manchaca (MANshack)! The city of Manor and Manor Rd. are pronounced 'MAY-ner'. We don't like corrections on that either. And, for God's sake, DON'T pronounce the 'E' at the end of Guadalupe. It's Gwada-LOOP and we like it that way!
13. Burnet Road is pronounced BURN-it, not Bur-NET. Koenig Lane is pronounced KAE-nig not KOE-nig. The old airport (Robert Mueller) is pronounced Robert Miller and is on Airport Boulevard. The new airport (Austin-Bergstrom) is no where near Airport Boulevard. It's in the city of Del Valle pronounced Dell Valley!
14. Keep in mind that the sloppily dressed 'hippie' in worn-out sandals and earrings is probably the latest IPO millionaire around here.
15. Stay away from the Congress Ave. bridge at sundown if you do not like the thought of being in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. (Largest Mexican Free Tail Bat Population in the US)
16. And, yes, we all know that there's a man in a teddy and a tiara on Congress Ave. It's Leslie and he probably makes more money than you do. (Surely, you have a homeless, celebrity drag queen that likes to run for Mayor where you live, too, right?)
**And you wonder why there are so many bumper stickers that say 'Keep Austin Weird' and why it originated in Austin!**

Life, or something like it
Anyway, don't ask me why but I have been very bi-polar the last few days. Up and down and up and down. It's kinda funny but last night after I posted that blog i started to feel like shit again. Then today I'm fine. Who knows...I'm just needed some good old fashioned lovin is what I need. anyway I'm pretty bored right now. I figured I would spend some time online before I go to bed at 12ish. I tried that last night and after about an hour of 'counting molecules' I still couldn't sleep so I took a tylonol PM and that helped. I'm a little tired today but I got alot of work done. I'm looking forward to some piano tomorrow and maybe a party this weekend. Anyway that's all for now. peace out homies.

The sun rises part 2
Hey now, don't get touchy if you don't think I should have deleted the first part to this post, but it is because I am expanding on it and felt like just doing it over again. That being aside I thought I would put up a currently listening:

Wish You Were Here
I dig my toes into the sand
The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind
Pretend that I am weightless
And in this moment I am happy...happy
I wish you were here
I lay my head on to the sand
The sky resembles a backlit canopy with holes punched in it
I'm counting UFO's
I signal them with my lighter
And in this moment I am happy...happy
I wish you were here
The world's a roller coaster and I am not strapped in
Maybe I should hold with care but my hands are busy in the air
-------------------------------------------------------------
I love that song, it sort of outlines my mood today. I havn't felt this way in a while and especially after the last few days. I am really on cloud nine today, I don't know why or what was said but last night I was talking with someone and sudenly I feel so much better. Yes, it had to do with my last post, and he truly put things into perspective and made me feel so much better. If you're reading this then thanks. I was feeling so depressed the last few days and I woke up this morning so releived and exhilarated. I had a great day at school today and I am ready to get back to work and research. I made some great progess today (finally) and I will be working the bugs out of the code over the next week or so. Spring break is coming up really soon (2.5 weeks) and I am excited. I have a cousin coming in from Des Moines Iowa to hang out and hit 6th street. Anyway that is all the new stuff I have to report. I need to get some homework done then I will be free for the remainder of the evening.

A sad sad world
Well, for the most part today has been a good day; then began my father's gay bashing. I don't know what my mom sees in him because she is so compassionate, caring, accepting, and loving. My mom went to go see brokeback mountain today and when she got back and told the plot to my father he immediately began the bashing. She told him how one of the guys gets beat up in the end and killed, my dad said "good, one less fagot in the world." As soon as I heard this I turned my ipod up because I just couldn't take it, but it didn't work. My mom said that people shouldn't judge other people and my dad's response was "no, but we can send them up to god to be judged sooner." He then proceeded to say "those stupid fagots need to keep that shit in the closet where it belongs!". I am so incredebly pissed off right now I really want to fucking throw something across the room. How can someone be so completely ignorant, mean, and prejudiced. I just keep telling myself I only have to put up with this for another 3 months then I move out for the summer and the remainder of my college career. Now you know why I can't tell my parents, even though my mom would probably cry for a few days, she would get over it, my dad, would probably disown me, but even if he didn't I don't want to take the risk while I'm still financially dependant.
Other than that my day has been great. I made a new friend recently who I am excited about talking to tonight. other than that nothing is really new. I have been working on homework since 3pm and probably will continue until about 10 or 11. My lab report that is due in one week is up to 15 pages and that is just the appendix, I havn't even started the report yet. Thank god I get free printing on campus.
I guess I should also add that it is quite obvious to me and anyone with half a brain that homosexuality is NOT a choice. I mean, who in their right mind would choose to be a socail outcast and to be ostracized. Many researcher's and psychiatrists (spelling) have proven that it is a natural occurence with many different theories behind its origin. I don't know what the cause is and I don't really care. All I know is that I am so tired of ignorant morons like my dad who have been beaten over the head with conservative uber religious teachings. There is so much more to life than who you are having sex with/who you're attracted to. Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm a slut who has sex all the time and is covered with disease. All I know is that if there is a god (and I beleive there is), then sexual preference whould mean absolutely nothing. Anyway, that is enough of my rant. I am anxious to get the hell out of this house and away from this homophobic environment that I've been raised in, thanks to all of you who have been an unwaivering support in my life. It is good people like you that make life worth living.
OH, on a much happier note, Death Cab and Franz Ferdinan are coming to Austin next month and I am going to try to get tickets with a few friends of mine...I really hope we can get them, I am so excited..

Explanation
Wow, that last post was funny as hell...I really should quit getting online when I'm that drunk. I do find Ryan Phillipe hot but that was borderline inappropriate. LOL. Anyway I'm off for now. I've had a hangover all day so I should get back to resting.

Grades are in
I thought I would start this post off with my current "listenings".

"This Place Is A Prison"-The Postal Service
This place is a prison
And these people aren't your friends
Inhaling thrills through $20 bills
And the tumblers are drained and then flooded again
And again
Ther're guards at the on ramps armed to the teeth
And you may case the grounds from the cascades to puget sound,
But you are not permitted to leave
I know there's a big world out there like the one i saw on the screen
In my living room late last night,
It was almost too bright to see
And i know that it's not a party if it happens every night
Pretending there's glamour and candelabra
When you're drinking by candlelight
What does it take to get a drink in this place?
What does it take, how long must i wait?
-----------------------------------
I totally empathize with this. I too sometimes feel trapped...enough of the depressing.
I got my grades back: Chemical Engineering Materials-102; Unit Operations II-90. So I did well. I am kind of dissapointed with the Ops grade; however, I may be able to get some points back due to a simple technicality. I spend about 3 hours on my code again today and got alot more done. The prof is supposed to send me an article on similar research; however, due to its content and subject, I am not allowed to discuss it and must hold its findings in the strictest of confidentiality. Should be interesting...So anyway that is about it. My valentines day was pretty uneventful, had steak and lobster with the family and watched a few movies. Tomorrow is family pictures (yuck!), and friday I have an interview with Shell Oil. I really don't want to work for them but if they pay me enough then it won't matter. I'm just holding out for the Nanotech research internship at one of (Cornell, Standford, Berkely, Washington State, or Georgia Tech) Those were my choices, hopefully I will get it. I've also applied at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, as well as a few other Research internships.

Over the hump part deux
Well...Had my second of three midterms today...the next is on the 27th and then that is it for a few weeks or so. The midterm wasn't too bad. there was a tricky question about what fraction of this liquid drop evaporates in 30 seconds. Well I freaked out because I kept getting like 3000%. Apparently though it was right, I was supposed to get >>>>1...I guess that is comforting. I had lab today and then came home and worked on the report...you can see what I have if you want Pressure Report. I don't know why anyone would be interested but that is just half of the appendix not including the sample calculations or abstract. then the report is prolly going to be another 20-30 pages. They are REQUIRED to be bound and I will probably spend about 20+ hours on it over the next two weeks. Anyway, that is pretty much all that is new.
I am jumping through schedualing hoops this week because of Valentines day and my sisters graduation photos which I have to be present for on thursday. I have had to rescedual two of my tutoring sessions and try to find room for another one at the sametime. It is going to be a busy week.
anyway I figured I should pay tribute to something. There is this bilboard right outside the ChE building and it is paid for by Abercrombie. There are always major hotties up on it and I thought I would pay them tribute...To Abercrombie, bringing us hot "bilboard" sized guys since whenever the fuck they started doing that shit.

of course the guy on the right is better looking in my opinion...but that's ok. The other one is trying his best.

Doomed to be single
Well,
I guess I should give some background into why I dislike valentines day so much. I must say I am just so bitter because I never have someone to spend it with :(. All I can say is I seem to always fall for the straight guys (maybe it's because they are unattainable and I like to shoot for the stars...forgive the cliche), and it just seems everytime there is a really fucking hot guy around, he turns the corner and makes out with his girlfriend. Anyway that is pretty much the reason why I dislike V-day so much. I am always so jealous of everyone else. So anyway my dad called me about a million times while I was at work to see if I would be home tuesday night, well, of course. Then I got home and he bithced at me for not calling back. Well, fuck, if I am busy at work I am not going to go and make a damn unimportant phone call...Here is but another taste of what I have to live with. About a week ago this commercial for Brokeback Mountain came on (I havn't seen it yet, is it good?) and my dad said, and I quote, "Fucking queers, why the hell can't they keep that nasty shit in the closet. I mean, I am sure there were gay cowboys but they kept in the the closet. Fucking disgusting fagot hollywood types, trying to make these homos seem like decent people." Can you beleive that shit. I have to fucking live with that. Now you know why I can't tell my parents, especially my dad would disown me...it is really stressful. I can't wait until I can move out...Anyway I have a test monday and need to get to studying....as usual.

Ramblings
Well, not much is new. I gotta test on monday that I will be studying for tomorrow. I work on sunday. I'm pretty bored right now because a certain someone was suposed to call me and didn't. I decided not to go clubbing because I didn't want to drive up to campus. I just finished setting up this personality thing that supposedly tells me what other people think of me?!??!

Over the hump
Well, it turns out that exam wasn't too bad. Although I did spend about 3 hours working on my program today (got alot done) so things are looking good. I was stuck on campus to tutor this athlete and it was like the, can you do the work for me show. Thank god I only have to meet this person once a week. I am looking forward to Hookah tomorrow, it is gonna be great! Of course, my sister has to go to bed early so after that I will be lookin for something to do. Course, I have an exam on monday and homework, studying, and reading to do this weekend. I think I'm going to a party saturday thought so it's all good...
Remember some confuciousisms:
"He who stands on toilet is high on pot"
"he who pisses in wind, gets feet wet"
"He who runs in front of car, gets tired real fast"

The Onset of Boredom
What a waste of a day. I got up and went to class; woopdy doo...I get to campus and as usual realize that I am one of few that did the homework right, and as everyone franticly asks me what to do, I hand them my paper and say, turn it in for me. Well, of course it gets left in the computer lab and so I had to run and get it to turn it in myself...My first class was unproductive. I, as usual, didn't pay attention, instead I tried to figure out problem #3 from my tutoring session last night and realized it was WAY easier than I explained it to the student. Oh well...I then went to my matrices class and read my book so that I could get my research done. Almost no progress. the good news it that we had a pop quiz so at least I actually went to class.
So I gave my sister an ultimatum today. She just turned 18 and I said, "ok, do you want to go clubbing on friday or to a hooka bar?" Of course, I am hoping that she chooses the hooka bar because not only do I hate clubbing but I can't dance either. The reason I hate it so much is because I have only been to straight clubs, I have to get INCREDIBLY drunk to forget that I can't dance, and then I end up regretting it in the morning. She chose hooka...
So I have a test tomorrow that I have been studying for most of the day when I wasn't cooking dinner (the most AMAZING green beens and spam hotdish) and watching TV. So now I am taking a break to write a blog.
So I've decided that valentines day is just a stupid hallmark made up holiday (maybe this is because I am always single). About the only re-deemable quality of Vday is:

Any way fuck v-day and all those nausiating love birds that have to make PDA a way to rub my single life in my face...Well, I like being singe, it's cheaper, there's more free time, and you can have lots of no-strings-attached sex (course, that's only a theory, I don't actually have lots of sex)Anyway, back to The Grind!
Oh, I guess there is one last thing...My hot guy of the week is Cillian Murphey. You may remember him from such films as Batman Begins, and 28 days later...His eyes are just absolutely intoxicating, don't you agree?

What's New
Well, other than this blog, there is really nothing new. I have an exam on thursday which I have been studying for on and off. I also have an exam next monday which I havn't really begun to study for yet. My research is going well, but I havn't had much time. so anyway that is it for now. I spent most of the evening getting some Yo Yo Ma mp3's from my buddy daniel and so I have been listening to those. Anyway peace out...and here is something to dream about!
